Limitations in MSCRM 4.0

The below are the limitations in MSCRM You cannot have more than 8 tabs in a form. FetchXml brings at a time not more than 5000 records. Export to excel by default exports only 10000 record(This setting can be altered). For an entity, we can add upto 5 duplicate detection rules. If a duplicate detection rule is enabled on a field then, you can only have the width of that column at the max 450 characters width.

Remove startup programs in windows Vista

When you install the software, most of them make it to start up programs. This is a problem when the computer is started. It takes huge time to start the computer. Here is how you can control, the start up programs. 1. Go to Start > Run 2. Enter "msconfig" and hit enter. 3. This open a window "System Configuration". 4. Click on the tab "Start up". Here it shows all the start up programs. Uncheck the programs not required.

Mobile Express for MSCRM

Few days back i was exploring the mobile express, the below is what i found. It supports browsers internet explorer mobile and safari on the mobile devices. All the scripts written for web client do not work.  It supports mandatory fields. For the look up fields, it allows the user to enter values and it validates on the server side. It throws an error if the record is not found on the server. It does not display the related entities for a entities.  It does display the picklist values.

password change is not reflecting

I have come across a weird problem in windows XP. I have tried to login in my colleagues machine using my credentials, it prompted me for a pass word change. So i have changed my password in my colleagues machines. After that i tried to logout and login in my machine it does not allow me login with the new password. It does not recognize the new pass word. The solution is i have run a command in my machine from the run programme: 1. gpupdate /force after running this command, i could login with my new password.
